Continuous shooting

edited July 2015 Posted in » Nikon D3200 Forum
I have a D3200 and want to know if I can set the number of frames per second when shooting in continuous mode or is it always 4 fps? I would like to set it to 1 fps for aerial photography.

Thanks.

I'm afraid you can't set the continuous speed. It will vary depending on what your file size is, with 4 fps the max. In Raw, it will only shoot 8 or 9 pictures before the buffer fills and shooting stops for a while. In other JPG modes, if the buffer fills, shooting may not stop but slows the speed depending somewhat on the memory card speed. It might be possible with considerable experimenting to find a JPG and card combo that settles into something around 1 FPS after first 20 or so fill the buffer.
