Exposure bracketing

edited June 2015 Posted in » Nikon D5300 Forum
I'm interested in developing HDR skills. Is the maximum automatic exposure bracketing on the D5300 two f stops? I'd like to try three or more. Do I need to set the camera separately for e.g., +4 and -4?

For the in-camera HDR convertion the limit is 2EV but for post processing you have more options. Either use the AE Bracketing on 2EV together with Exposure Compensation (+/-) on +2 and -2 or just take the number using Exposure Compensation for the combination you like.
In most cases Aperture or Manual with a fixed aperture and a fixed focus point gives the best result.
