Remote Control/Timer

edited January 2015 Posted in » Canon T3i Forum
Hey everyone, I just bought a remote for my T3i and I noticed that only remote setting forces a ten second delay. Is there a way around this? Is there a way to use a remote without also setting a timer? Thanks guys!

I'm not a Canon user here, but I looked it up, and nope, there's no way to use the wireless remote without the 10 second timer. However, the wired remote duplicates the shutter button.
  • Hey @jaxx - When you enable the self-time/remote function, the RC-6 should fire immediately. You should only get the 10 second self-timer if you're pressing the shutter release button on the camera.

I am new to photography and to this website! I want to buy a remote (have a T3i) and I'm wondering if there are any differences in use between one with cable and one that is wireless. I realize that with a wireless one you can be further away! Is a NEEWER Wireless Shutter Release a good brand? Do you even give those kinds of recommendations?
