How do I focus and blur while recording ?

How do I focus and blur while recording on a Canon Powershot SX170 IS? I can start a recording with an unfocused shot, but then, while the camera is recording, I can't make the image sharper or more blurry. Can anyone help me? :)

    How about trying to shake your camera while recording? That will make the photo you took blurry.

    First, shaking the cam is not the solution.

    Back to the initial question:
    You need to figure out how the manual focus works on your camera. Check your camera’s user manual. I’m sure your cam can manually focus. Whether or not you can adjust the focus during a video recording is unclear.
