3 copies of each photo

Every photo I take is being saved three times on my memory card. I must have changed some setting by mistake. Any suggestions, please?

    Are you taking multiple photos? Check the setting of the lever on the top.

    No, I'm not taking multiple photos. But thanks for giving it some thought!

    If it was twice you'd have your camera set to Raw + JPEG, but 3?
    Try resetting to factory settings and format your card and then see what happens.
    If no luck on this website, contact Nikon via email from their website.
    Please let us all know what the problem was if you find out.
