Buying a Macro Lens for the Nikon D3100

Howdy all,

In my continuing development of learning photography techniques, I'd like to purchase a macro lens. I'm using the Nikon D3100 at the moment.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've seen unofficial lenses on eBay, such as this one:

Are these cheap ones any good? Does anyone have any experience with these cheaper ones? What sort of results could you expect compared to full priced Nikon lenses?
