External Flash

I was wondering if I could put an external flash on my D3100? I'm not sure if I can, but I want to get a ring flash adapter.

    Of course you can use external flash with your D3100. Nikon SB-700 is a bit costly, but it's the best money can buy for amateurs. There are plenty of third party flashes too. Nissin for example makes good flashes.
