Best Settings for Portraits with the 50mm f/1.8

edited March 2013 Posted in » Canon Lens Talk
Hello All,

I have a Canon T3i and I just recently purchased the Canon 50mm lens. My question is what are the best settings for portraits and newborn pictures?

Thank you

  • Howdy @Islandgurl25 - Check out this thread as it talks about the best settings for portraits with the 50mm f/1.8 and the Canon T2i...don't worry the settings are the same for your T3. Happy shooting! :)

Another thought is to may apply the L bracket. This accessory can help in shifting from portrait to landscape in a snap.
