Playback Folder

I have a Nikon D5100. I am facing the following problem related to the playback folder while reviewing the photographs. Whenever I switch on the camera, it takes the current shooting folder as the playback folder also. Then I go into the respective menu and set the playback folder as all and it starts showing pictures from all the folders on the SD card. This reamins valid until the camera is on. Once I switch off the camera and switch it on again after some time, the playback folder option gets reset to current folder again and I can't view pictures of all the folders on the SD-card.
