35mm Lens for Landscape

Hello everyone I just purchaseens a 35mm lens and the stop is f/1.8. Is this lens a good landscape lens?

    The image quality of the 35mm f/1.8 is excellent.
    If you have the room to back up and get your subject in the frame then yes.

    If there are times that you can't back up far enough or get the image framed like you want with the 35mm prime, then you'll need a wider lens.

    I have both the 35mm f/1.8 and the 18-55mm kit lens. I carry both with me and make a decision when it's time to take pictures.

    Say you are taking an image of the Alps from 1000 yards, why back up or use a 35mm lens?

    I have a 35mm f/1.8. I love the pictures, but i don't like the fact that it acts like a 50mm on the D3100. It's not very wide, so it limits the possibilities.
