I just checked my firmware version and I have 1.1.0. I am not seeing how to do the update. Did I miss the instructions in the manual? Do I go the Canon website and plug in my 60D and download? How do I do that? Thanks!

    Hi,
Make sure you have a blank formatted card in your camera. Make sure the batteries are fully charged or you are plugged into a main source. Now go to the Canon website and find service and support for your camera. Enter your operating system (eg. Windows) and then enter the version (eg. Windows 7). You will see the newer 1.1.1 firmware update listed. Click on download. You will then be presented with step by step instructions on how to perform the update. It is really is quite easy.
    Regards

Just got my 60D. How do I determine my firmware version? I've gone through the menus and I don't see anything.

Check page 280 of your manual.

It is in the third set up menu, last option.
