Canon 60D focus issues with a Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 APO OS

edited March 2012 Posted in » Canon 60D Forum
I just picked up a Sigma lens and the autofocus dosn't seem to work in Av mode. When I depress the shutter 1/2 way it will not autofocus. I have cleared all settings back to factory...any suggestions? - Bill

  • @bcsnave - I imagine you've already checked this, but make sure the AF/MF switch on the lens is in the AF position. If it is, try setting your AF mode to ONE SHOT (press the AF button and rotate the small command dial) and try pre-focusing (half press the shutter) on a subject. Let me know how it all shakes out. :)

@Moose - In the tools menu there's a setting C.Fn IV which was set to meter only. I reset to Meter & AF and voilà, it works! - Bill
  • @bcsnave - Glad you figured it out and thanks for the follow up. Happy shooting! :)
