Image playback

I am very new to cameras/photography so please forgive me if my questions sound silly or too simple. I bought a Canon 60D two weeks ago and at the moment it's in P mode. When I take a picture and I press the playback button nothing comes up on the screen for me to see the image I just took. Where am I going wrong, and why can't I view the image immediately after taking it? Please help. I have followed what it says in the manual but still no luck.

I assume the screen works in the display, menu and info? Have you formatted the memory card? Check the card in another camera if you have another camera. If not, check it with your PC.

Try a different mode.

The P mode might not be giving you the right exposure.

Thank you for the responses. I checked the camera on a PC and when I put it back in camera everything worked. Thanks guys.
